A good evaluation is simple: bring what you have, and don’t stress about what’s missing. Here’s the shortlist that helps the most, and what’s optional.
Bring these if you have them
- Grading reports (GIA/AGS/IGI) for diamonds and gemstones
- Original box & papers for watches and designer jewelry
- Service history (watch service receipts can help)
- Any appraisals (not required, but useful context)
Bring the item as-is
Broken chains, single earrings, missing stones, bring it all. Don’t repair or polish first; it’s not necessary for an evaluation.
Photo ID
For transaction compliance and security, you’ll typically need a valid government-issued ID.
Don’t worry if you have nothing. Many sellers come in with only the item. We can still evaluate fairly and explain what we see.
